Here she is all done and ready for display. I used MRP paints for the first time and they sprayed so nice without any additional thinning. Of course I'd like to thank Ultimate for carrying a great black primer and making excellent sanding stick, which helped me alot with this build. For an 80's Revell kit it went together very well, especially the seams along the fuselage. The only issues I had with the kit were the attachment posts on the elevators which were very small and fragile. I used about 60% of an Eduard Big Ed set which added some much needed detail along with True Detail resin ejector seats. Weathering was done with another fine Ultimate product, Dark Dirt Wash which made the panel lines really pop and added to the overall dirty Vietnam Era look. for the metallic look around the exhaust nozzles I used Vallejo Acrylic Metal Colors, they sprayed well, held up nice and dried quick, and without that harsh enamel/lacquer smell. Highly recommended for those who have to spray in a communal area.
Thanks to Guy for hosting the build. It felt good doing the Vietnam scheme on an old Revell kit instead of one of the newer Phantom kits that has come out recently.
