How To: Build a Photo Booth

Post by aur0ra145 »

Howdy!

I've been plagued with taking crap pictures for quite some time now. So I elected to make my own photo booth.

Supplies needed:

Cardboard box (I chose 20"x20"x20")
Box cutter
Packing tape - Clear
Tissue paper - White
Measuring device - If desired
White poster paper

Directions:

1. Assemble box - tape one end closed and leave one end open.
2. Cut flaps off of open end
3. With the open end facing you cut the top, left and right side walls away. I elected for openings of 15"x15" on a 20"x20" side.
4. Cover openings with white tissue paper and tape in place
5. Insert poster paper and secure to open end.

That's it, you're done. It took me all of 15 minutes to do. To use it, you'll need some lamps to shine onto the tissue paper. This will brighten up the subject but soften the light to not cause egregious shadows.

Mods: If this is in the wrong section please move the post or remove it all together. Just thought this might be handy to some of those out there.
