Guy's Tamiya 1/48 Skyraider

Post by GuyMac »

About time I started to share some of my ongoing work on the forum. I've been reluctant to do so because I'm not that expert. But thought, it might convince other members to show their work among the expert, beautiful builds one finds on this forum.

Anyway. This is my Skyraider which I've been working on for a few months now. It's an on/off build. When I feel to go on with it, I go on. Inbetween, I build something easy just to keep me going.

All is assembled and primed in Ultimate black primer. Used MrHobby acrylics to paint the camo using some cheap whitetack for masking. All sprayed with my Ultimate APEX.

And that's where I ended up so far...

Like I've said: not perfect but who is?

I absolutely LOVE this kit. I did the Navy version. Need to get ahold of the AF version. How are you liking it?

It's a bit on hold atm. It's my 'inbetween' build I can pick up when I get bored on other projects :-)
So far it's a good kit. No big issues, just much ordonance :)
