Hello all, I would like to introduce myself as the NEW GB team leader you may know me from around the forum and I have a very keen interest in the GB's.

It is coming towards the time when you all vote for the GB's that you want to have for 2018.

THIS is where this announcement is important, there will only be 3 GB's in 2018. There will no longer be any ISM official SIGS. This is due to the fact we want to focus on the group builds. It is also down to the fact that many members vote for SIGs and then do not take part in them. For example, there was a sig voted for by 49 members and only 12 people entered. So to prevent this we are not hosting official SIGs on ISM.

NOW, if you want to host SIGs and suggest them to the rest of the forum, that is fine and if you get enough interest you may get a space on the forum, although this is not guaranteed.

Hopefully you all understand and I look forward to seeing what GB's are to be held in 2018

I think he is that guy posting stuff on the ISM facebook page about group builds
But it makes sense that the sigs will be dropped
On the other hand that could make for a nice oppertunity to do the member hosted sigs instead
There have been a bunch of member run group builds and buddy builds while there where ISM builds aswell
I think those may have been getting entries that other wise would have been in the official builds
And we as modellers can only build a certain amount at a time so choises have to be made as to wich build (GB,SIG or Buddy build) gets joined by someone
And maybe if there is enough intrest there could be more ISM GB's in a year by having them overlap eachother
But that is management stuff

Great idea! Maybe now I can actually finish more builds in 2018!

Umm... do you mean the Holy Land SIG? By the way do you have any information about this SIG's reveal?

Scott question regarding the GB for cars now, where do you post your thread? In the GB section and marking it by the title GB etc Just do not want to do the wrong thing.

You will see a box with red words "NEW TOPIC" ....on the upper left just under the EModels ad and below Build Threads in blue
Click on new topic and post your title and start your thread

Good to do a pic of the box, a pic of sprues and some do a pic of the instructions
Little history of the subject and why you are doing a build of it
Then post as much subsequent detail as you like in your build thread
