Starting a little side project to keep me busy...a little egg Q Series Fujimi Williams
Bit of a teaser project for the F1 fans
The decals are actually stickers, will mask the car off and paint as much as possible
She is a gorgeous car and I will try to make Mansell"s helmet and moustache

Cut off the extra plastic, opened the space on the front and rear wings and the vent for the brakes opened
I made Senna's Lotus a few Easters ago...will do similar modifications

Oh wow, they look cool Scott!! (sad that they dont give you decals and stickers like Bandai kits?) All in all it does look like fun.
(Hmmm would a 1:1 copy on the printer going to a decal sheet work??... I dont know>? just a thot!)

Well now you have me thinking about that
Not had much success with my printers and making my own decals...and you cannot print white.
Could look for some generic aftermarket...we shall see
Yes Bandai gives you both stickers and decals and both well made

Now that's a neat little side project but yeah it's a shame about the stickers rather than decals
Didn't know these existed... no more kits, no more kits, no more kits...

They are cool little kits Neil, but don't pay more than about $20 USD...I have seen some stupid prices for them
There is a Ferrari version, but bugger if I can even locate one

I made the side radiators and painted them aluuuuuminium. Cut out the roll cage bar so it looks proper and made the rear wheel disks.
Then sprayed the entire base Ultimate gloss black.
Warmed the bottle up on my coffee heater for 20 mins and sprayed with Ultra airbrush. Just like butter, black butter but still butter
Sorry no photos, me stupido

I tell ya, If I was a 1% the driveway would be filled with all kinds of beautiful shapes....automobiles I mean.
My buddy is a cop who restores cars, especially old Cameros. He was asking to do a photo shoot in our driveway when he is selling the next one...I will remember to post a pic up
Tay is the new voice of reason, I have backed off the new F1 Ferrari...for now
Maybe

Boy uTube and internet connections were horrid for me during the live show today...have to watch it on the replay
So instead I plugged away at the egg. I have masked this thrice and still not really happy with paint, but hell it is for fun and I am not going to freak. Made my big pipes for the exhaust

You are a kind feller, but it is not my best work.
How I muffed the paint:
So three colours...white, blue and yellow
I did White primer and bottom layer white. Then masked and sprayed yellow...all good so far. Then had to mask off the white and yellow and painted blue. Runs

, paint pulls on tape and didnโt cover the top part of yellow so got blue onto it

overspray onto the white as well. I used red pinstripe to cover the blue/yellow transition...that was ok.
The stickers with white background are dull...needed white paint behind them
It is all a learning experience

You might not be overly impressed with your handiwork mate, but it looks pretty damned impressive from where I'm sitting
