Hello my fellow model builders, i´m Michael from Germany, better known to some model builders as Hamilkar Barkas on Youtube. I see that a lot of the fellows i know from there have gathered here in order to share the passion of the hobby with others. I want to join you and i´m looking forward to see your work displayed here aswell as i like to show you my models.

I like to build all kind of models, but i mainly stick to military vehicles and figures, mainly in larger scales like 1:35 or 1:32. I just have a big passion for this hobby and i do it for fun, not because i want to show off or become an expert. Just a simple hobby! Therefore none of my models is perfect, it is a nice relaxion after work for me and i like the creative part in particular when it comes to build a diorama.

I started building models on my 8th birthday when i got an Arado Ar 196 kit from Revell in 1:72 scale. From then on i kept building models so you can imagine that my room is overflowing with models.

If i´m not in the workshop building models i´m at work, i´m a clockmaker apprentice. The skills i learned in my almost 15 years of model building are very helpful in the job as a watchmaker.

I´m looking forward to get known to you all and to see your amazing work!
