Revell 1/72 dambusters lancaster

Post by gaz45 »

The finish
Not the best of kits with a few fit issues but i got there in the end.

Unfortunatly when i was moving it to take the final reveal pics the plane fell from the plastic rod and w wing and an engine came off :wall:

I don't have the time to fix it before the deadline what with work commitments so i'll just post the final pics i had from the build thread

Sorry about the wing damage, trust me, I know how frustrating things like that are :bash:

Angle of attack looks a bit steep to clear the dam for me as well, pilot would need new underwear I think :o

Lovely looking lanc though! I should stop looking at these final reveals.....something else added to my wishlist, thanks for that!!! :wall:

Awesome work Gaz - love the concept and the execution!

Real shame about the damage, please post some finished photos when you've had chance to sort it as I'd love to see how it finally turns out.
Cheers, Neil

The bomb would never be in front of the aircraft. Also, the aircraft was flying level at 60ft. above the water, when the bomb was dropped.

I just thought physical and historical accuracy might be allowed. If not, oh well.

No you're right Chris historical accuracy is very important especially to you it would seem, having looked through your previous postings I can find a lot that refer to historical accuracy starting in 2016 when you criticised a newbie for his Swordfish then there was the Beaufighter that wasn't up to scratch nor the Gladiator. The thing that mystified me is that I couldn't find a post with a model in it that you'd built. Now, for historical accuracy you understand, I'm more than willing for you to make my day and point me in the right direction.

Gaz I can only offer you my heartfelt apologies for hijacking your thread but this guys got "form"!
