How do U straighten long thin plastic parts (ie. masts).

I bought this vintage "USS Long Beach" on Ebay with bent styrene masts.

Any tips/suggestions on how I could straighten them?

Show a pic, like to see how bad it is
You could:
*heat in warm water and reshape them
*take sprue and stretch it and make a new mask
I would not suggest direct heating the mask with a flame or you will melt it and the propensity for FUBAR is high

Could they be scratch built from brass ?

The pictures were in the ebay listing link I posted if you scroll down. I tried the hot/boiling water technicque and though not perfect was able to strighten out the mast considerably.
