Need help detailing Hellcat belly tank

Hello all,
I'm currently working on Eduard's Hellcat Mk I. I'm not sure yet I'm going to use the kit's belly tank because the detail on it isn't great at all. So I'm planning to upgrade by scratch building a few details. Everything is planned for except for the straps holding it. Any suggestion on how I could recreate those ?

and the other problem I have thinking on how to recreate that is the change of size in it.

Any suggestions ???? As I would greatly want to detail it
