Thanks for all your responses, I am currently making a 1/32 scale Triumph Herald Airfix starter kit what a nightmare with the supplied paints. I done two zoom calls yesterday with models for hero's learnt so much already.

Hello and :welcome: to the ISM forum Pinger.

When you get a moment please check out the forum guidelines which can be found ---> here

We'd love to see your work & progress but in order to post photos you will need to host them on an external site such as Flickr and then link to them from the forum. Unfortunately the forum currently doesn't have sufficient capacity or bandwidth to host directly uploaded photos.

There is a quick guide on how to use the Flickr integration on the forum ---> here

As well as the forum boards there is a really useful Modeller Toolkit available which can help with paint matching, paint thinning, glue types & a scale calculator that can be found ---> here

We're also running a number of group builds & special interest groups through the year so feel free to enter any of those that you like the look of.

Otherwise take a look around and join in, and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Have fun!

Hi Pinger and welcome into the forum. You will find this a nice home for modeling with many skill and interest levels. Most everyone here is quite normal until you get to know them. Seriously though, welcome and happy to have you in the group.

My dad joined in 58 so had a load of weird post war stuff like Jaguar as well and then Ajax, Arethusa and Jupiter (which he joined as Prince Charles who had been No1 left) before she was converted.
Did you go South on Avenger? My dad was at ASWE as it was his last year and they wouldn't draft him.
