Savoia-Marchetti S.55 - Dora Wings 1/72

Post by RodolfoMas »

Hi all,
this Dora wings kit recreate the Savoia-Marchetti S.55, called "Santa Maria" which was flown by the italian aviator Francesco de Pinedo (February 16, 1890 – September 2, 1933), in 1927, with Carlo Del Prete and the engineer Vitale Zacchetti , from Elmas (Sardinia, Italy) to Arizona.

I hope you enjoy it 😉

That's a dang long flight in an open cockpit. I can't even imaging how tough that was. Great job on the plane and the base looks great too.

That is beautiful plane and diorama. I would be very interested to know how you create the water base i.e materials used etc...
