An aircraft with a somewhat checkered history.

Cheers all.

Actually it is still plagued with issues. The USAF grounded their entire fleet due to power transfer issues. That was in 22. Not sure if they still are or not.DRUMS01 wrote: Fri Jul 07, 2023 1:27 am I have the Italeri version with some extras so I'll be following your for inspiration (smile)
It did indeed have a rough start when initially deployed but much like the Harrier. But after the bugs were addressed and the correct operating envelopes identified and trained, they both have had a long and distinguished term of service. Have you figured out what camouflage scheme your going to apply (current gray, middle east, or early green)?
The JGSDF has an interesting color set and Pentrest has just about anything you can imagine, including a digital desert camouflage used by the Navy Seals.

Haven’t decided yet, but the digital camo sounds interesting!DRUMS01 wrote: Fri Jul 07, 2023 1:27 am Have you figured out what camouflage scheme your going to apply (current gray, middle east, or early green)?

I’ll vote for the helo build! Perhaps Tilt Rotor could be a build category?krusty69 wrote: Fri Jul 07, 2023 4:14 amhave that kit sitting on the shelve with all the goodies, trying to hang on until the helo build later this year, and hope they let a tilt rotor in.
i'll be watching with interest
Yes indeed. Might have to display all folded up!
Reading about the V22's issues has been interesting.smokeriderdon wrote: Fri Jul 07, 2023 5:03 pm Actually it is still plagued with issues. The USAF grounded their entire fleet due to power transfer issues. That was in 22. Not sure if they still are or not.

Pretty sure the gaps are my fault. The outer fuselage wrapped around the inner fuselage caused a few mis alignments.
I’m watching with interest if krusty has/will encounter the same thing.
