What kind of Panzer II models have you build in the past?

Post by HamilkarBarkas »

Hi guys!
I´m kinda curious, have you ever built a Panzer II model before, why/why not?
If you have made some, please share them :cheers2:

I will start! Took me a while to scan through my archives to find these. There are actually few more but no pics of them exist.

This is a Panzer II L from Alanger.

Alan Flammpanzer II D Flamingo.

Alan Panzer II D.

Another Panzer II L, i think its from Maquette.

One of the classic Tamiya Panzer II´s i made, this one has an frame antenna. I saw a picture of such a vehicle which shows it next to Hummel artillery in 1943. The camo is of course not very realistic.

These models are all very old and some of them are actually lost i think, i don´t know where i have put them :

As you may notice my skills improved bit my bit, everyone had to start at some point. Now it gets a bit better.

Tasca´s Panzer II L, still painted with a hairy stick.

Here the content of the terrible Maqutette kit:

This wasn´t actually a kit, it was more like a box with some useable parts but a lot of them looked like this:

In the end it looked nicely anyway. As you can see its painted with the airbrush, it was one of the first ones.

Tamiyas newer Panzer II A/B/C Polish Campaign. A little diorama for it was made aswell.

This time not black&white.

Since then i haven´t build a Panzer II, i wasn´t even aware of that fact so thank you for bringing that back into my mind

Alright, guys, i want to see your nice Panzer II models now, show them!

I've built three Pz IIs over the years, I only have photos of one though.
I gave away the others long before I ever thought to take pictures of my models.
Good thing too... they were complete Scheiße!

This is the only one that I have left, it's part of the series that I did on Leningrad a long time ago, I have a Pz III and IV as well as an initial Tiger I to go with it.

I have already built a Pz II from Tamiya years ago. When my office became a children-room ,I had to pause with modeling and the tank went with many kits in the trash...

That is some collection, I don't know this tank. I have only ever built 3 tanks (two in 1/72 and one in 1/35)... I never tried a Panzer but I was given a 1/35 Tiger from a friend which I have yet to build.

this a simple answer i have build none
until i joined this GB that is but i am planning for a second one im the future since the german forces used them in the battle of Berlin as ammo tractors and small anti tank and cannon tractors the only big difference is that these tanks had no turret but some nice camo and a lot of options for stowage
but you jave build your own army of them i see
look great :bow::
On the bench
GB builds
1/35 Trumpeter M1132 ESV

Personal builds
1/35 Hobby Boss M1070 tractor with M1000 semi trailer and Meng M1A2 TUSK II Abrams
1/35 Takom V2 rocket with the Meillerwagen and SS100 tractor
