Lets get it started with the fuselage.

There is some drilling of the floor of the fuselage for the seating

The parts cut and and sanded for assembling.

There is no real fit issues so far with this kit.

Looking good there mate. Wish someone would tool a new Chinook in 1/48 for the up to date RAF version.

Looking forward to seeing this progress as it looks like an old, but nice kit.

 The ramp had a small fit issue. There where gaps on both side but small Vallejo plastic putty cover it.

Image

Spray the ramp with Vallejo model air 70.120 light Gary and Black.

Image

I also spray the fuselage with Vallejo model air 71.120

Image

All that is needed is a bit of brush painting to add detail add some weathering.

Have the chairs in and now the weathering. I like to use MIG natural wash.

Just have to clean up the wash up.

Wow, you did an awesome job with interior paint work so far. It looks very realistic. Try not to over due the weathering it though, these aircraft are well maintained and won't have alot of dirt build up in or on them. I was thinking of picking up the Trumpters version this. Just wondering if the inside cabin walls are as good as your kit there. Are the seats part of the PE set to go with this kit? Anyway, great start to a beautiful aircraft :cheers2: I'm gonna be watching this build :pop:

The pilots

I used the airfix kit British forces infantry patrol 1/48. I used putty on the sides of the helmet and sanded into a ball like shape, also cut away the front pouches.

He then was painted in Desert DPM

There was a lot of fit issues with the engine's and fuselage half's not meeting. Some plastic putty was used and sanded.

I have upgraded the chinook to mk2 with the new engine's. This replaced the mushroom shape front covers to cap shape.

This was done with the cover of a lip bam stick cut down.

There was a lot of silvering with the decals, so the setting solution was greatly used

Very nice build! I'd die for interior detail like that in my Minicraft 1/48 HH-60L Blackhawk! Going to have to scratchbuild nearly everything. Your stretchers gave me some ideas! Thanks!
