Mi-24 Zvezda 1/72

Post by Drunkmaster »

Hi guys.

I decided to make my model here. I really like this helicopter, zvezda a tried and did a pretty good model. Now we just have to glue and paint :)

Let the pictures speak.

Image

Modeled on the base brand took a steel scorpion-like. The only difference is the price - my cost is paints and old floor panel :)

Image

From the old refrigerator and a fire extinguisher car I made airbrush compressor, so I'm going to completely give up brushes ;)

Image

Painting the model will be Russian, from Afghanistan

Most excellent .... I have ordered the exact same kit and p.e. and I can't wait to see what you do with it !

I also ordered her bigger brother Hind 35 !

Those self adhesive p.e. sets are pretty sweet !

Good luck with her !

as far as you making your own Compressor...
BRAVO !

Looks pretty awesome actually ! Give us some inputs on how it performs... Ok?

Take care brother ! :pop:

Hi, nice that you bought this model, I think it is good quality. You have to be careful when sticking, delicate shifts that cause it does not fit then the hull. But beyond this model is very good and made up like Lego :)

Execution of the compressor is very simple, I drew a diagram and I'll try to describe it :thumb1:

Image

1-stage compressor remains from the refrigerator
2-a pressure switch together with a fuse pressure and two pressure-cloks (one of them shows the pressure in the cylinder, second show pressure on airbrush) connected to it also power the compressor, switch again is automatic. You can buy all the ready set, called the presostat/pressure switch.
3-strengthened The air hoses and tee
4-Fire extinguisher disassemble and screw in it connector to air hoses
5-Car Fire Extinguisher (air tank)
6-Cable compressor we connect with pressure switch, so as to compressor operates automatically

Greetings
P.

How did you get a hold of a base like that? Is it home made or purchased? Btw, are the panel lines raised or recessed? :)

Can I just say that while that compressor looks great that if you build one and blow of your fingers, arms or head, ISM are in no way responsible :thumb2:

Not the point, etched parts are great and fit perfectly, you have to be careful on the same model zvezda, very carefully composed it, I had a lot of parts disassemble a few times because I did not fit their :)

I look forward to your relation :cheers2:

LudvigN wrote:How did you get a hold of a base like that? Is it home made or purchased? Btw, are the panel lines raised or recessed? :)
Hi, I've done that base alone, modeled on a similar, you can purchase is called steel scorpion.
I did it like this:
-I printed a picture of the base in high definition
-I stick print into plastic plate and I cut it into pieces
-At the end of the puzzle glued to a piece of the floor panel and the whole I protected matte varnish :D
Paul wrote:Can I just say that while that compressor looks great that if you build one and blow of your fingers, arms or head, ISM are in no way responsible :thumb2:
Obviously, Paul has written a very important thing. I will add only that the construction of my compressor been consulted on with staff from the equipment shop for the workshop.
All parts are designed specifically for use with high pressure and a safety valve is installed.
The advantage of this design is quiet, if someone does not depend on the volume better to buy basic compressor ready, which eventually anyway is less expensive than building such as I showed :thumb1:

Returning to the report of the construction ... interior :)

Some things have been taken from the wire and cans of cola :)
I was asked once before the question of whether I'll record a video with Scratch building. I'd love to, but for the photos I use a SLR camera without video recording function. And my old camera which has that function is terrible :(

Regards :hi:

Paul

Edit:

schweinhund227

Polish hind is a very interesting idea, if you need a material that my friend was in Iraq pilot and has pictures of these machines, if you need it I can give you a lot of pictures of Polish Mi-24 :)

My word, the level of detail you go to is amazing! love the headphones, they are TINY! :thumb2:

I have a real soft spot for the HIND. Probably from playing battlefield 1942 desert combat mod on the computer and flying round in it blowing up tanks.

Cant wait to see the finished thing. :pop:

My word this is beyond comprehension - AMAZING, can't believe you have added so much detail to a 1/72 kit.

You must have microscopes for eyes and tweezers for hands.

Hi!
I do not know how I did it
I previously only once painted with airbrush and this model is one big experiment. I just painted it. Then I did the shadows painted Tamiya smoked, and I did streaks very thinned oil paint.

at the end of it all rubbed with a brush dipped in white spirit rubbing down.
Look at the youtube video Mig Jimenez, I very much modeled on them in my work :)
