Italeri 1/24 Opel Blitz.

This will be my entry for the GB, the 1/24 Opel Blitz. Civilian version.



The Blitz name (German for lightning) was first applied to an Opel truck in 1930 and by 1934 there were four base versions offered of the 1 tonne model along with fourteen versions of the larger 2/2½ tonne trucks.

I will not be using the decals as they are for the military version.

Progress for tonight.

The ladder chassis assembled.



1/72 blitz compared to the 1/24 blitz.



Main engine block assembled.



Rear Diff and Engine dry fitted.



Start to remove the sink marks on the rear bed.



Not sure whether to place truck in a diorama.
