So this is my subject for the Easter Egg Plane Sig the Focke Wulf Fw190A.
Why I chose this subject....that's easy this was the only warbird in my hobby shop as I live in a small country town and lucky to even have a hobby shop here
This is my first Sig so I'll give it a shot.

As some of you know I have a bit of a soft spot for Citadel Miniatures and couldn't help myself in giving the 190 a Orky flavor to it, the white plasticard patches on the sides of the aircraft were randomly placed to simulate battle damage repairs as Orks are kinda dodgey.

The skulls and front sensors behind the prop were picked out my bits box to give the plane abit of Ork spice, which I think worked out quite nice.
At this stage I still had no idea what the colors were going to be for the plane but that's why I had so much fun building this model, because once the main subject was built from the instruction sheet it was all up to my imagination what the rest would look like.

I needed a pilot so I had to go through my 40K Ork kits and this was the sprue I found and old mate Harold was looking straight at me wanting to be hacked off and to get a strand of brass wire rammed up his neck, but he seemed to like it
CAM01267~2.jpg
Here is is meet Harold, the placement is abit crued but it works as he has a fat head and his shoulders if he were to have any would not be visible and a fit issue would have been a problem
CAM01271~2.jpg
Orks don'y play with pea shooters, so the next thing I had to do was to file out the original guns that were moulded in the nose of the aircraft, and then drill some mounting holes for the twin linked Bolters that was going to be mounted on the nose of the 190

So here's Harold all happy in his own Egg Plane

Once I was happy with the parts all fitting it was time for a coat of Valejo black primer

Because it was such a hoot to paint I was los in my own little world and forgot to take photos during the decalling stage, Deacals were snugged down using Humbrol Decal fix.

Here you get a pretty good idea of the range of paints used in this build

The wheel nuts were painted using a Pilot brand extra fine paint pen

Thanks Paul and Tiger131, this little egg has taken me about 3 weeks to complete because truck driving doesn't give a bloke much time to play with plastic. But I got there in the end.

G'Day sport,
She's a mean looking cute brute! Meant in the nicest way.
That's a lot of paint shades for such a tiny model, mate!
What does the Sheila think of that one? Does she want to throw it on the Barbie instead of the shrimp, mate?
Good luck in the voting
