I have a couple of kits that come with PE parts but I have no special tools for PE.
Any particular recommendations on what I should set myself up with? I'm kinda drawing blanks at the moment

Small shop tools Folding tool
Small shop tools Photo etch cut off set
Tamiya pe bending pliers
Tamiya PE scissors
Tamiya Pe diamond file
Good superglue is a medium viscosity
A flexifile CA applicator tool
And a Ultimate PE placing tool
I use all the above tools for pe and while not cheap they make life a lot easier
The small shop stuff can be found here, not cheap but very high quality. Google for the other products

Thanks for the list, guess I know what to wish for for my birthday
Excellent tips, will also watch the video.
I presume the tools listed are the ideal arsenal and not an either/or kind of thing? If you know what I mean....

If money !!! isn't an Obstacle ?
Then Paul's List is Perfect !
he has listed all of the best tools out there...
if you are limited $$... or want to spread it over time...
Please start with the Tamiya P.E. Pliers !
They will do you a lot of good when it comes to those few limited P.E. parts
that comes with kits as of late !
Then build on that...
Take care and happy modelling !
Norm.

And good tweezers! Tamiya's 74047 HG Angled are brilliant!

Yeah, money is an object

Thanks for the pliers tip, ordered the HG Straight and the HG Angled off hobbylink yesterday so I am set on those. Really glad I picked the better tweezers - add another + in the "Paul said so in his review column"
