I've got a question. Which cutting mat will you recomend for a beginner?

Not really. Any brand of cutting mat should do. As far as I'm aware off, there shouldn't be much of a qualitative difference between the different brands.

I'd say get the biggest one that will fit your workbench. My first one was only 8.5 inches x 12 inches. The one I have now is 18 inches x 24 inches.
They are not only useful as a cutting mat, but also a good way to protect your work surface. Now I use the smaller mat for tools that I use most often.

just ebay the size trust me dont pay for a name you will go through them like pints on a sat night...
