Matchbox 1/72 Provost Mk.1

Post by Scruffy »

Another has one that has been sitting around for a couple of years; not a bid kit, and one that Matchbox had not re-released often over the years, so I was very happy to pick this one up for $1.00 at a show. I think I put it away because the bottom seam on the fuselage kept popping open. Typical matchbox kit, decent enough and with a little work will polish up nicely.

I added a bit of side wall detail to the cockpit, and extended the cockpit floor as it ended just in front of the seats, and you could see right down to the bottom of the fuselage :ooops:

And all painted up

Seat belts are masking tape painted up, I was going to replace them with some etched ones I have gotten since, but they look decent, so I might just leave them as is.

And all together, where I left it.

Hi Scruffy, love a Matchbox box kit and do have a number in the stash. Have to admit to on occasions reaching for one myself and I think the Lysander is my favorite, cracking little kit. Good luck with the build, she's looking all good so far.
