Hi there,

I'm Bob Van den Berghe , I'm 23 years old and I live in Belgium.

I started modelbuilding only a week ago because I needed a hobby to do indoors because of being sick etc.

Currently I'm working on a Tamiya 1/35 Flakpanzer Gepard and I have a Tamiya 1/35 Type 90 tank w/ mine roller waiting for me.

I think I'll mainly be focussing on military stuff like tanks and planes.

I only have a few basic things because I only started with the hobby but I really like it and I can see myself doing this for a long time.

I have the following things: excel blade, sprue cutter, a tweezer, a few brushes, a few tamiya acrylic paints, some revell plastik glue and that is about it...

If you have any suggestions on what to buy next to complete my set and make my modelbuilding a bit more easy and better that would be very nice :)

Other stuff about me: I'm studying archaeology, I like climbing, backpacking and reading...

If you want to know anything else just ask and any tips are more than welcome!!!

Greetings,

Bob

:welcome: to ISM .....im a bit like you just startin back into the hobby so i have small supply of tools and paint....as far as must haves i think a good set of brushes in various sizes is a mist have....you mite consider getting a small pin vise for drilling small holes...some sanding sticks and some filler...tamiya extra thin cement....small clamps...
As far as paints go i have begun buying the vellejo model color sets starting with the german and allied sets....consider an airbrush when u feel u have the basics down ...the list goes on good luck and have fun

Is the tamiya thin cement better than the revell glue? Yea I'm already looking out a bit for an aibrush but I don't know what to get... And it can be quite expensive. Any recommendations? Also is it necessary to base coat the models? Because now I only painted the Gepard with the olive drab tamiya paint (with a brush). Perhaps a stupid question but hey I'm a real noob at this.
