Coen's FRENCH FT-17 LIGHT TANK (RIVETED TURRET) MENG

Post by Coen »

Finished with one day to go... though I wish that I had a couple of figures to go with this build, time and the being unable to find any that fit what I wanted ruled that out. Maybe I'll find something in the future.

Until then... here she be.
Thanks to Lee and Paul for hosting this... I didn't much like the kit, but I really liked the build. The SIG was certainly one worth doing.

Yup. It was an enjoyable build Norm. I learned a fair amount about WWI and the dio turned out better than I'd hoped.
Success. :D

An awesome job mate! WW I dios are quite uncommon, they have a unique atmosphere and it's a pity because there aren't many figures to be found in the market. :cheers2:

Building and weathering a model in a way that makes it look realistic is a skill most people can learn. Given enough time, I'm sure most of us could probably even learn how to build a decent looking diorama. Building a diorama that doesn't just look realistic, but also manages to capture the mood or atmosphere of a moment in time however, that's a skill very few people posses. I'm sure most will agree if I say that you have that skill in abundance.

Damn nice stuff. Ditching the dio base was a good call.

Thanks fellas. I do appreciate it. I do firmly believe that I don't do anything special and that everything that I do, anyone can do. Patience and practice is all that it takes. That's how I learned to do it.
I try to show as much as I can in every build log and video to remove the mystery behind it all. No secrets. No tricks.
I don't hide anything that I do and I try to share anything that I think that I've missed.
Hopefully I've done that with most of my work. This build included. :D

Lovely tank and diorama. Polluted water puddles are great touch.
Sir, we're surrounded!
Excellent! Now we can attack in any direction!

Great buyild Coen , turn out real good , you manage to depict very well the 'No Man's land' :th:

Yes it is a pitty that there aren't more WW1 figures , I could make my Mark IV Dio for this SiG using the new released Tamiya British Infantry and also the new released ICM German Assault Infantry , ICM's lauched this year some figures and armament sets for WWI .

This Diorama is really nice !

:cheers2:
Cheers ,
António
