Hello from a returning modeller after a 22 year gap!

Post by captbiggles »

Hello All
I would like to introduce myself as a returning modeller, and I classify myself as a newbie after a very long dry spell. I started modelling at the age of 9, and compare to my last model, it looked like it was put together by a blind person (no disrespect intended to the blind), with big blobs of glue everywhere. I was completely bitten, and the only thing that I wanted for birthdays, Christmas was some model kits. I have come from the paintbrush era, and have slowly been acquiring kits and equipment during the long dry spell.

Now that I have more time on my hands, I will be devoting myself to the hobby.

Many thanks to everyone for the kind welcome and words of encouragement - hoping to finish setting up the man-cave / build corner - actually a corner of the shed during the Christmas holiday and then onwards to some kit building - the stash is getting bigger! coming up to christmas as just got a 1/48 B17F Revell kit and this looks massive :jd: - however not impressed with the molding as lots of flash on the sprue's and raised panel lines which could be a problem...
