First time working with this - seat belts etc - question - is it ok to pre paint the photo etch on the sprue - willthe paint crack when I place it in the cockpit - do I need to prime it first before painting - thanks in advance for your help with this.

It can peel of if you bend it. Need to have some proper metal primer and plenty of coats leaving it to dry every time. And the glue can ruin your work

If you paint it on... Well, you need a steady hand and no need for primer really. I say better to practice your skills with the brush.
