Revell 1/48 SBD Dauntless

Post by sirvine »

Well
Here is the first model I have built since 1986. Boy things sure have changed.
This was the first time I have used an airbrush to paint anything. 99% was painted with the airbrush.

A lot of other firsts where done also like weathering, masking the canopy, using primer and general building techniques.

This also the first time I have ever been involved with a group build of any kind. My hats off to Lee and Paul for what they are doing and also other members of this forum for giving me pointers and how to tips and allowing me to be a member.

Thank you all very much.

Enjoy the pictures. Had lots of fun building the plane.

That's all for this build. I look forward to building many more kits and expanding my knowledge and experience.

Thanks again to everyone.

For all those firsts you've done a splendid job. Seems to me tese old navy birds are tougher than they look with the shades of blues and grays but this looks great to me.

Hope to see more from you soon!
