Adapting brushes

Post by gazmat »

Guys, do you adapt brushes for various jobs? I have just "chopped" up a couple of old Italeri (best thing for them tbh)...with only about 5/8 strands left and cut to length also, and use them for really fine work ,just painted some eyeballs and eyebrows on a military figure...have to say I was quite impressed with the control you have...ideal for painting those small switches/knobs on a cockpit also...or what do you use for intricate/fine painting?...

For really fine painting I use the tamiya modelling brush PRO from no.1, 0, 00, 000.

Yeh I've cut up a fair few brushes for more specific things like stippling, dry-brushing and working in pigments. Then I just keep one decent set of brushes to use as they were designed.
