Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a low rpm drill that can take very small bits <1mm and upwards.

I have a Dremel multi tool but even at its lowest rpm its too fast and just melts plastic rather than drilling it.

Does anyone have reccommendations?

Tamiya makes a drill as a model kit you put together that is battery powered....Lee did a review of it in the videos I believe

Yep, found it

Proxon would be my first choice of tool for this application. Providing a general geagraphic location will also help fellow members to give you a more refined answer when they reply.

As always happy modeling and keep sticking styrene

If you get the slightly larger transformer you will find it more useful and ultimately cheaper.
Proxon also do a very useful pen sander which will plug into the same transformer.
Plus electric knife for carving landscapes

i can find the Proxxon tools easy enough here in Oz but not much in the way of accessories/bits. Do they have their own range or would Dremel bits fit them?

Any bits fit them, they have a chuck and not collets :thumb2:
