Quickie for experienced wing builder

Post by barrythornton »

Where would you paint the demarcation of upper wing colour and lower wing colour ?
Sounds simple..... but would you mask accurately to the models` seem line / glue joint between top and bottom wing ?
Or do some / all planes have a slight `wrap-over` if looked at head on ?
Referring to ww2 props in particular.
Thanks in advance.
If it`s got a Dragon or a Dwarf in it .....I`m out ! :pistols:

I believe the do meet in the middle generally

Personally I don't mask where the lower surface colour meets the upper surface colour(s), it far to much hassle

I just spray over the leading and trailing edges at 45 degrees from each side and it seems to get a decent demarcation between them :th:

Thanks, its a question Ive never seen asked , and pictures of the real planes don`t tend to have a line of glue oozing out to let the ground crew know where to paint up to
