Good Afternoon, Good Evening & Good Night

Post by Steevels »

Hi there!
I'm from the apparently mystical land called Australia, famous for deadly animals and bursting into flames every few years. I live on the coast so most, but not all, of the deadly animals near me live in the water. Like all good Australians, I love going into the water, so if I stop posting I might have been eaten.

I started modeling when I was around 13 and spent a good few years gluing cheap kits together that would never get paint or decals put on and probably would have the gear up. I mean planes look best when flying, right?

I then took off a good 20 years while I played PC games but I always kept my eye on the world of models and dreamed of getting back into it, and in the last two years I realised that the best way to get away from work hell is to glue plastic together, so that's what I do, not as much as I'd like or probably should but enough to keep me sane (sort of).

Hello and welcome
Scale modelling had absolutely blossomed since you last delved into it. So much now with the internet, multiple manufacturers, digital printing, resins, PE...on and on. Truly a golden age for modelling by males mostly in their golden ages

Your intro struck a chord with me as much rather do my productive hobbies vs messing on any computer games
Been playing retro Tetris again on my iPad and the time just melts away from me...gotta stop that, but fills a mojo deficit
Welcome back to scale modelling, hide your wallet :D

:welcome: :welcome:

I'm sharing the same "way of life" with video games (the last are War Thunder and WoTLK, but that the very last of this kind) and plastic kits help me to overcome anguish and depression. And it's so good to cut, sand, glue and paint little parts!

And yes Australia as Pinterest shos it it's a land of creepy and venomous wild beasts! :nena:

I'm in a hurry to see your models!
